Supercharged or turbo

Ok so I'm struggling on what to go for iv had both turbo and supercharged cars, I no a turbo on a h22 is what I should go for by my heart won'ts to go charged,

Basically what are your thoughts

If I go for a charger I'm thinking an eaton m62 low slung on a custom mount below the alternator running off the PAS pulley.. I no the kit that was for sale for lude many moons ago now was for a stock bottom end and used the same charger but was mounted on the inlet itself...

If I go for a tubo I'm not sure what exact turbo to use, anybody put some light on this iv asked on HT with no response and iv done tons of research I'm wonting 300-350 on a stock bottom end for the time being until I build another motor..

The floor is now yours :)

Iv no room to change the inlet to accommodate N/A to get the most amount of power I can with an N/A setup. Im also after chairing biggish bhp later.

Also the cost per BHP N/A or FI you get more bang for your buck with FI

I have to ask because I dont understand..why not buy a car with an engine designed for FI and go from there? I always wonder why people want to make an apple an orange. Why not start off with an orange and make it a bigger orange? People always seem to be needing to overcome issues or work around design incompatabilities to make it work and then they are waiting for it to break when going from NA to FI.

If you love the lude and nothing else will do then ok, i understand that. but what is the driving factor? no pun intended...

The driving factor is easyyy to say,

Firstly the h22 iv fitted into a vw polo 6n 8-) ... If that's not enough iv wonting to make it one hell of a weapon for the track. Something that has a good amount of power, reliability and its a tad nuts.. Iv always pushed cars to the limit and I intend on doing it again :)

How the hell do you plan on fitting a supercharged or turbo in there?!?

It's a tight fit to get either in a prelude with a much bigger engine bay

I'm going to low mount it below the Alternator on a custom bracket, iv done this before

It was sat over the manifold BUT suffered only a small amount with heat soak

My eaton m45 1.3 polo ( 174 bhp )

Just go for a turbo and be done with it then.

But if you want to go fast round a track with 300BHP+ you need a better car with RWD or 4WD to be blunt.

See that's what I was thinking but my heart won't that charger noise again, it's easier to fit, cheaper and at 250-300 bhp I think ill be hitting the maximum of what I can put down..

I would convert to 4x4 but I don't no any box that would fit the h22

If your going for a rotrex style charger, you won't get one for the h22 as it spins the wrong direction. It's a JRSC positive displacement if you can find one or a turbo
