Hi Guy's,

finally got round to replacing the engine in my Type S with another (hopefully a Type S engine)
All seems to be great, powers back and no horrible noises coming from engine.however i have noticed that the cars Speedo is now reading in MPH instead of KPH? could someone tell me how that would happen and does it mean something isn't correct? (mechanical Noob)

Any info advice would be appreciated

Cheers
Guys
Phil

Did you replacement engine come complete with wiring loom ?
If it did and you used it then it must have a speedo convertor wired into the vss wiring

You've been had.

The output sprocket/scranion flange is completely different for the Type "S" which is causing the difference. You've bought a standard engine.

(Just kidding. Sorry. :D )

I am definitely joking! Actually, I wouldn't have a clue. I'd listen to Buzz. Hope you get it sorted.
