Need an Engine Hoist/lift/crane Whats what?

Post by RattyMcClelland » Sun Jan 29, 2012 6:54 pm

Engine hoist seem fine to get. But what about the part that attachs to the engine and the hoist. The chains. Which?

I can borrow a hoist from a friend but not sure i can get it
I can hire one which is around £40 or so but i will need it twice maybe.
I can buy 1 with my non funds.
One like this Clicky here but it has no chains etc.

OR can i borrow one off someone on here.

I need one ASAP so i can pick up my Type S engine. FINALLY

Well i need to strap the engine down in the back of my van with rachet straps.

I intend to get THESE

I think these should be good to attach to the hoist and the engine.

you want an engine leveller really mate, cost like £25 on ebay, it really makes the job easier! also if you can get the bottom pulley off it will give you a fair bit more space! is PA dropping the lump in for you?

i was looking to buy a leveller so perhaps we can sort something out? :?

You can get the engine out without removing the pulley, it is easier if it wasn't there though, unless you have a few people helping you to guide the engine out
