Fitting a Type-S Intake into a 4th gen'?

I fitted my Type-S intake into my car today and came across an unexpected problem.
I couldn't shut my bonnet flush.
I bent a bracket and moved a couple of wires which helped, but it's still not as flush as it should be.
The offending area is the joining piece between the airbox and the chamber.
Any ideas?

Hmm, have a look in JDM-BB4's thread - he had one fitted to his 4th.

I found the thread but there's 35 pages to scroll through.
I'll come back to it later.
Has anyone else done this and had issues?

I found the section in JDM-BB4's thread.
He says it's a tight squeeze under the strut brace but that's all.
I did notice that he has obviously moved his fusebox wires at some point. This is the area I'm having trouble with.
I hope he doesn't mind me borrowing his photo.

Are you sure the airbox sits all the way into the hole into the wing. It needs to be quite a way in.

I'm pretty sure Ratty. The bolts tightened up no problem.
The more I think about it, it looks like I may have to move the fusebox wires.

I've had mine fitted in the 4th gen for years. It touches the bonnet ever so slightly - but only on the rubber joint between the airbox and pipe. You shouldn't have any problems with wires from the fusebox? I'll add a pic to my gallery...

I wonder - will removing the resonator bypass valve vaccum box and solenoid (the items that sit on the engine mount) help drop the unit more? Just a thought, if you happen to have removed the resonator these parts are just dead weight and can be removed all the way up to the vacuum nipple on the plenum.
