I don't get any heat now unless the revs are over a certain rpm, I swapped thermostat for another spare, no joy. I took rad cap off, and gave it a good rev and water shot out of the rad real good, so I presume its not the water pump, air lock I thought so I cut a pipe at the bulk head where it did not feel that warm even after the cooling fans came on and it shot out everywhere and was rather warm  I fixed it and filled it up again and tried to get rid of ant air locks but still no joy yet, I did give it a good spanking just before this happened so I hope its an air lock,

Next up I have been trying to source this stupid vac leak, idle issue and lumpy low end throttle, changed fitv valve and iacv so many times now trying to get it right, tried the wd40 leak test, no joy but I am making progress slowly, think I will end up stripping inlet manifold off again and trying again. Anyway changed the fitv and now it idles spot on, however it has now decided to hold the revs up at about 1500 rpm until the car is at a dead stop then it ticks over real nice at about 820 rpm.

This is the strangest bunch of faults I have had on a lude yet, I do all the things I know and its just still not happy, any help or pointers welcome, I may be missing the obvious things.

I also swapped the throttle body. drokking thing is driving me mad at the moment. need to sort these issues so I can tart it up

so you changed the throttle body? I was gonna say maybe check the TPS, but looks like you already swapped it

for the holding revs thing

fixed the heaters, sorted the rev issue and fingers crossed the whistle, don a load to it today and there are vast improvements, its even pulling like a lude should now, but I will wait and see on the whistle :vtec: :D

@Lude-dude you were spot on with TPS 8-) +rep

Thers a vac operated valve that was seizing up, so I stripped it down while I had the TB off to make life a little easier, bingo, that was so tuff to move due to corrosion, so I cleaned it up and lubed it stuck it back on and now heaters are sorted.

Thanks dude :D + rep for the genius comment

I was looking at all the components on the prelude manual and noticed that where the UK spec cable comes out of the bulk head there was no cable and its vac operated, I reached down and tried to push the rod, it was not budging, this would tie in with what happened, I had turned my heaters down and they didn't get hot again unless I was at some revs, the tap valve thing was only opening part way, well happy :D

Well done on finding that Bri.
