Another VTEC spool valve oil leak

Getting a minor double stream of oil from the bottom of the VTEC solenoid spool thingy.

I've changed the rubber seal and filter, got 3 new bolts, and flushed and changed the oil while I was at it.

Still a small double stream of oil at the bottom. Not a major leak, but enough to stain the block after a 10 minute drive, and heading for the heater hose connection underneath (which is the main worry).

Thoughts obviously turn towards the cam seal above and behind the spool valve. I can't see any oil down either side of the VTEC solenoid. Is it possible to have a leak from the cam seal that you can't see?

In a word yes - cam end cap or rocker cover seal.
I have a similar issue - i fitted a replacement dizzy and now that leaks - so new o ring will be fitted but im also thinking of using some high temp silicone - just a thin layer - to get a good seal all round.
Ive changed every seal there is practically

Thanks, zep. Can I call you LedHalen? :)

I ordered up a Blox cam cap from ebay.com (most of the replacement bits I'm getting nowadays are coming from the States, based mostly on cost), so I'll just keep wiping the dribble off every time I park the car til it arrives. Been meaning to check my valve clearances anyway, so it'll give me an excuse to do that while the top's off.

Next up is the sump gasket - once that's done I'll have new seals all round too, except the rear crank one.
