Lude Generation

Ludes been off the road for three years now and is in the process of being revived, however I try most things but Im not anywhere capable of an engine swap
However Im trying to figure out which vtec engine I can get a way with as a straight swap into a 98 2ltr chassis .
Budget restraints mean I might not get total max bhp immediately but can look at mods as |I get more cash.
anyone done it or have some options in mind, thoughts appreciated as I need to get timing belt done on the existing lump and dont see the point if I can hunt down summit nice now.

Cheers Craig , any gearbox issues with that selection that you would know of and also is one better than the other for mods? Meant to ask you whats the new lude project?

M2b4 LSD box is ideal but pricey

if crunchyaddams has to scrap his lude there is a m2b4 box going to be availble here just in case

The a2 he is selling is not the best put a wanted post up I'm sure someone on here will have a spare h22

You don't have to get an m2b4 box for now, you can use your own, aren't all gearboxes and shafts interchangable between the H and F series engines?

Would a h22a7 R type drop in ? if so is it a good option dependent on mileage
