Are these valve guides beyond saving?

As some of you know, I'm in the process of rebuilding a Type-S head. Three of the valve stem seals were missing when I picked it up. Two of the valve guides have some rough edges on them, and I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered something like this before and if they managed to save the guides, or if they had to replace them.
I have heard of some folks filing off burrs and nicks, provided they don't change the diameter of the bore too much.
Sorry for the crap pics, there isn't a lot of room to angle the camera.
Thoughts?

I don't know anything. Don't really know what I'm looking at tbh.
But you're probably going to change them anyway.
Peace of mind?

type s and valves stem/guides

what is the issue I wonder. it seems to hassle loads of them.
I would change them out imho. they look like three day old jobby on a cracked plate. new is always better if you are going to hammer it. If it was a renault laguna then yeah....go fo it...

I'd say they could be saved if you used the right shape rotary burr very carefully by hand to remove the edges. But if I were you I'd take it to an engine shop who will know exactly what to do and how to do it.

Might get away with recovering them, but I'm with lewd on this one, I'd try that on a run of the mill motor, but probably not on an H22, just not worth the risk for something that's in a fairly high state of tune/meant to be enjoyed when it's driven.
Have you looked into how much it would cost to get them replaced?

I'll have to call some machine shops tomorrow and see. I can get the guides themselves for a decent price, but I have a feeling I'll be raped on the installation.

I hate having to delegate labour.
