While I've been trying to blead the system I can see bubbles coming from the thermostat housing. I take it this is the reason why my engine is not reaching temperature? Any ideas on quick fixes?

Tighten up the thermostat housing bolts? Or replace the gasket maybe?

It doesn't have a gasket on it. Ive put a gasket gel on it I think it's called quick gasket which you squirt on. I did one of the bolts up so tight I snapped it! So had to find a new one. Oops! Seems to be all tight now however rad cap leaking so next quick purchase!

Ahh damn, while I had mine on the ramp today it looked like I had a big leak when I turned the engine on. I'm hoping it was just the thermo housing, which I managed to fix by myself.. Which I was quite proud of concidering I don't actually know anything about cars!

Good job bud, fingers crossed your probs are easily solved!
Its bloody typical, I brag about how great Honda's are to all my mates and on the day of the last ever Run To The Sun in Newquay my car dies

I do exactly the same! Slag off other makes of cars saying buy a honda and now I'm the same as you with all problems.

Where is it leaking from? The thermostat has a rubber gasket to seal it up, is that fitted? Or is it leaking elsewhere?
