Lude Generation

Magnecor seems to be luder's leads of choice.

I have these on the JDM (came with them fitted). Anyone know anything/have any views about them?



They seem to have individual braided shielding, earthed out to the rocker cover.

I call bullshit!!

If the engine feels good, leave them. If you're not sure, get some KV85's. If you're leaving the engine pretty much standard, you probably won't notice any difference between either lead type. If you're planning on doing some heavy mods, it's worth replacing all components like that with something of quality; to guarantee no 'weak links'.

Really depends on your application. I'd probably leave them for now if they work well enough, and put them down the priority list to replace with Magnecor's when it becomes relevant.

In reality, I tend to fit brand new plugs, leads, dizzy cap & rotary arm (if necessary), filters, and oil whenever I get a new car. Just so I know it's all working as well as it can.

Whatever you think though. Those leads will most likely be fine for an every day application. I'd imagine they are very similar fundamentally to Magnecor's anyway - just a bit old that's all.

My car made the power in my sig with 18 year old OEM Honda leads...

Never hesitates or misfires- I really can't see the point in 'uprating' them until such time if/when the originals give up

Not planning any changes, I just hadn't come across these before so I was just interested what people knew about them.

I've seen these a few times before. Highly rated by some!
I've never seen them with the spark plug cover fitted. I suspect the two are incompatible.
