I've got a full Type S engine from the Lude I broke, and the plan is to strip the head and transplant it into my SiR. If all goes to plan, I will pretty much have myself an SiR S-Spec
Can I expect to see any gains from just swapping the head

or will I have to look into getting a re-map
Also looking forward to opening up the Type S lump, as theres a chance there are some forged parts in there. the guy I bought the Lude off didn't know too many details, but he was told the engine was forged

Ideally you want a remap. It'd be worth considering an ATR inlet manifold before a tune as well.

for the gains vs cost i would consider just moving the cams across!
Dibs on the forged bits

why swap the head?
Also what comp does your car have? the only reason i can see to swap the heads over is for a piston swap

Actually, you are right. It's the pistons you want.

well ive got the full engine, including the Type S IM, which has the larger throttle body etc
would I have to look at a different ECU for a remap

Dibs on the forged bits

but the Type S head had a mild port and polish

is it not worth putting it on
Dibs granted

£££££££

do you still want the rear ARB

Ideally you'd probably want to go my route - P28 and Hondata S300 to get the best out of it I'd have thought.
