Flame Popping

Post by kris_aka_edu » Sat Jul 20, 2013 11:09 pm

Just wondered, the past two preludes I've owned have both popped flames. My previous JDM 2.2 had a 5" jap can back box and used to pop blue flames and bang really loud in every gear.

My latest lude my JDM 2.2 pops massive flames from my twin back box. When the exhaust doesn't have a leak that is! When its dark and I'm at high revs in 3rd gear and put it in 4th I can pop flames so big I see them curl up in my side mirrors.

Is this healthy? My mates GTR 32 popped flames and melted his rear brake light. Just wondered if any one else has the same thing or is it just me?

This is my back box:

Yeah since I've had my exhaust leak I've noticed it does it a lot less. But Feck its funny as when some one is up your ass and you singe the dead flys off their bumper! ;)

Hmmm hope its not a bad thing then? Done it both of my ludes. When I took the manifold off I noticed that the stem things inside the engine where white? My mate said that it was over fueling? As you can tell I don't know much about mechanical stuff.

Wasn't on PUK, this is the first forum I've ever been on. If you could find me the link on this forum that would be appreciated.
