Engine no spark

Hi mates,

My LHD lude is almost ready for sale. Whole car put in one piece again, but it will not start.
What did I already do:
-check for spark at plugs (was not)
-check for spark at dizzy (was not)
-check for spark at coil (was not)
-checked all grounds and fuses
-CEL went regular on when key turned to ON
-CEL went regular off in 1 or 2 seconds + main relay click (main relay works)
-No CEL when engine got cranked
-smell of fuel is obvious (pump works)
-there is 12V at the dizzy
-battery fully charged
-tried an other set of leads and rotor (no effect)
-tried P28 ECU (no effect)
-found some resistance in the connections for crank/cyl/tdc sensor

Is there something that I am overlooking ?

Cheers,
Edson

Edit: and the timing belt has not been touched.

grounds = earths.

Indeed I thought it was electrical...
Just bought another dizzy from @CrunchyAdams82 to try that.

Also needed an extra dizzy for my future bb4.

Just check you have the link spring between the dizzy and the cap. Mine fell out and took forever to find the problem.

Also check the engine bay fuses with a volt checker.

ive had the same problem with a prelude i owned it broke down 4 times in 1 month on me it was turning over but not firing up and when it did if u just tickled the throttle peddle it would die so i put it into a garage to be tested and they said it was loosing spark when u accelerated quickly so i changed absolutely everything possible and spent around 300 changing bits then one day i was fitting a new induction kit and thought ide clean the earthing point at the side of the block near gearbox and hey presto it fired up staright away and i had no trouble after that

Thanks Pete, If there is no spark at the coil, then there is also no spark going to the roter and leads aswell.
If that is what you meant ?

And which fuses do I have to check ? Are there more then one ?
I thought it was just the 10 amp Clock/Radio fuse, which is fine.

Thanks mate !
My induction kit is not on yet (coming right in).
The thing is, that the block didn't went apart. The earths have not been loose.
And another thing, if the earths are bad, the CEL won't pop up at ON and won't go off in 1-2 sec.

Does your old silver one had spark ?
That's my first problem I guess.

Thanks for the input ;)

When I've had no spark in the past is was a very small crack in one of those large fuses in the engine bay, looking at it was very hard to spot but I ended up just testing everyone with the buzzer on my volt metre.

Wouldn't hurt to try it on yours mate?
