Help

Post by LewisH » Tue Aug 06, 2013 8:29 am

Hi,

I got in the car this morning, and the engine warning light is on (even after the handbrake has been removed) the oil is at max as i checked that straight away.

What else can it be? It has flickered from time to time, but for like a split second.

Jump the service connector and pull the codes. Or disconnect the battery to clear all old stored codes then once the CEL comes on again, then pull the code ;)

Old codes would of been cleared a few weeks back. WIll pull the code later.

The hand brake light or the engine light? The hand brake warning light doesn't give a code.

If it is the hand brake light, and it sometimes flickers, check the level of your brake fluid. Sounds like it is low.
