Life Expectancy of NGK Spark Plug PZFR6F-11

Post by prelude_h22 » Mon Aug 26, 2013 10:32 pm

Hi Guys

Just a quick one. What's the life expectancy of the standard Laser platinum PZFR6F-11spark plug

Service is due and wanted to check if the plugs required changing.

I hear they have an expectancy of around 100k miles? Is this true?

Cheers All

cheers BMCC - I thought 100k was a tad too much.

They look pretty new to be honest - slight brown ish colour - only covered 12k really so not really broken in. lol
Will just clean them up with a wire brush when I come to service next month

didn't really these plugs had such a long life. A friend told me that platinum plugs last ages hence why they cost so much so wanted to find out for sure how long they can last.

I assume if the car is driven hard it shortens its life???
