Hi, I'm wanting to remove my exhaust heat shield from under my car, the reason is.. i keep catching it so it then goes and says hello to the exhaust!!! the rattle is like women moan over and over and over!!!
so a few questions... Can i remove them without taking the exhaust off its hangers? ill be doing this at home and the car is slammed so its not gonna be fun!! and also i know by taking these away it will make the car hotter on the inside.. but is that the only reason why we got them? think i'm gonna do it anyway but thought i better ask before doing it

Doubt you'd get to the bolts without taking the exhaust off or at least off it's hangers
4g heat shields

Also have mine removed and managed to do it without touching the exhaust, 10 and 12mm bolts and no it makes no difference to temps at all lol

Make sure you stick the bolts back in the holes though

Which would this be needed? ... Just curious.

Nothing massively technical, just you'll end up with open threaded holes in the bottom of your car, sticking the bolts back just keeps the cruft out.

Threaded holes are generally unpainted therefore eager to corrode

Can't you just adjust the position of it and make sure all the bolts are tight?

one day puski your going to remove something from your car by mistake, take it for a drive and realize it has made it faster, more efficient and just better in every way and you'll have the bug! next thing we'll know your car will be a stripped out complete track ready whore of a lude and you'll be +1 cooler!
