Skunk2 h22 manifold

Hi guys ive got maself one of those fancy skun2 inlet manifolds, im looking at fitting it at the weekend, is there any tricks and tips i should know before doing so?! Im hoping by doing that and replacing all the gaskets i should cure my hunting idle problem, any advice would be grateful, many thanks, fred

Practice your swear words as getting to the manifold nuts is a bitch!

Are you getting one that still runs an EGR valve? Because if not detaching the EGR valve will through a CEL light if you don't earth the connection.

Tbh i dont know weather its got the egr port or not.... Ill have a look

It doesnt seem to have the egr port,

:? I thought with a skunk manifold you lose some vacuum lines or one of the valves (or something) and you end up with a rough idle as a result? :?

Tbh wurlycorner my car runs like s**t anyway and its started dieing occasionally and picking up againg almost straight away, so tbh its not going to make it worse!

It could if it isn't currently your inlet manifold/gaskets at fault :lol:

Is there any point in fitting it if you are using a standard throttle body?
