M2B4 Driveshaft Splines??

Hey guys,

Does the driveshaft spline that enters the gearbox differ between the M2A4 & M2B4?

Either way, I assume the other driveshaft is standardised. Correct?

Cos @tramroadmotors is potentially going to make some custom driveshafts for my H22 Gen3 conversion by splicing Gen3 & Gen4 driveshafts together.

But currently, the Gen4 driveshafts I have came off a M2A4. And I'm planning on sourcing a reasonably priced M2B4 for the build (anybody got one hanging around?).

So if there is a difference, I need to factor that in.

or should I just be getting 'Raxles' to make up a taylor-made set? This would put the work back a month or 2 though due to the extra cost.

Cheers, Andy

Shafts are the same between manual 4th gen h22s the main difference is the outer cv joints between abs and non abs models. Even the inner joints from a 5th would work if you get stuck

I did!

So that was you that beat me was it? Wish I'd bloody known, we might have got it cheaper. Nevermind. That's what I was prepared to go up to.

Well yeah, if you want to save a good one for me then mate I'll have it. Makes sense seeing as it's already at the operating theatre. ;)

If that sounds acceptable, we'll negotiate that into the price when the time comes? :D

And sounds like the driveshaft question has been answered then. That was an easy one!

Thanks guys. 8-)
