Did a search but came up with no answer.
Just done my oil change and took her out for a blast after, managed to balls up a couple of changes, once into 3rd and once into 5th.
Now i cant get reverse. all the other gears work absolutely fine, just feels like something is blocking reverse.
Slipped linkage or something maybe?
how would i go about trying to adjust the linkage?

dont think there is any adjustment - there is two cables that attatch to the linkage on top of the gearbox - have a quick look - remove the air intake pipe and you should be able to see them - might just be the cable has come uncoupled from the linkage - if so it should be any easy fix.

Uh oh, a 5th gear mistake can wreck the synchro for 5th/reverse. Fingers crossed it's not that

It could be the selector fork has bent, and therefore is pushing far enough to engage 5th/reverse

Yeh poss issue with the reverse shift fork and/or the 5th/reverse shift piece pin being out of tolerance or even wear to the reverse idler gear!? Anyhoo good luck pal!

Well 5th gear works absolutely fine, so does that rule out anything to do with 5th?
I was thinking it must be the reverse shift fork when i was doing some reading on it. is that replacable? and where is it located? is it actually inside the gearbox?
I have read a few accounts of people having the same issue, and it being something to do with a reverse lock. some people have said that revving to about 1500 and putting pressure on the stick to go into reverse while lifting off the clutch slowly has sorted the problem.
After a while of trying that the gear stick was moving further, and it got to the point where the gears would grind if i let off the cluctch (which was better then before) but it still wont go in.

5th/reverse share the same fork/selector. My money is in the actual shift piece/selector or reverse gear,, all of which is located in the gearbox. Download manual and get your hands dirty, youl save so much money. Good luck

Can you bring a new gearbox too? lol.
if 5th and reverse share the same fork, wouldnt i be experiencing problems with 5th gear as well though?

Pages 13-13 and 13-14 of the manual refer to a reverse lock cam, anyone know what that is?? also references and interlock?
