Without wanting to sound like an arse, I agree with nittin-Si , this is the problem I had, you feesably could put another gearbox on, (if as I understand it you mean deleting the ATTS) but there is not the mounting points on the back of the lower block to secure the drive shaft support, I looked at it, thought about doing a plate to rectify this problem but then realised you'd have to either A) do some very clever fabrication work to get the support to be aligned properly and securely probably envolving milling and so on or, B) put a plate on to secure the now slightly out of alignment (very slight I grant you) and possibly pick up more problems later on.
I didn't want to do this, realised the error of my ways and decided the engine and gearbox etc is in too good a condition to start butchering and would rather sell it on, break the car that was meant to have the engine and buy the mrs a dc5.
I don't have the time to see the project through, and have otherones on the go anyway.

Yes, absolutely, if you have a type-s with a tired engine or something that's not right, then this is ideal for you, it really is as near as plug in and play as you can get. I tried fitting it in a non type-s on the understanding that the type-s and motegi are closely related, they are, same compression (11-1) pistons, cams, etc etc but I didn't take in to account the ATTS, I was to find out to my cost,,, that the blocks are actually different castings with no threaded bolt holes to secure the drive shaft support (3x) and I don't have the heart or time to start butchering a perfectly sound engine.
