No, he's not on here actually, he's the guy a bought my donor car off. When I bought it, there was a Spoon V2 chipped (4 plug, TCS) ECU sat on the passenger seat which he said was 'dead' so I pulled the chip and fitted it to a spare P13 ECU I had. I am yet to fit it in my car to test it. Thanks for the info, I will try it ..maybe tonight!

So is this an original Spoon V2 chip I.e. does the ECU has the yellow / blue Spoon tape on it?

Like so:

Or is one of mine - handwritten blue / black / red text - 'NS JDM P13 SPOON V2 REMAP'. Or something to that effect?

The lid was never on the ECU so I don't know if there is any yellow/blue tape missing. The chip looks similar to the one in the bottom photo with the writing on. I will get a pic tonight before I trial fit it.

Well it aint one of mine that's for sure. And the few real Spoon chips I've had in my possession look different to that. Looks like an ebay 'Spoon' chip to me. :?

Weird for a chip to go bad? Are any of the pins damaged?

No, all pins look good. The guy I got it off said he wasn't 100% sure that the chip was working. Are they re-flashable? If not, how much do you want for a new chip @nucleustylzlude? Seems silly me having a socketed ECU just sat doing nothing.....
