It does not recognise Dien Bien Phu 1,571-2,293 dead 5,195 – 6,650 wounded1,729 missing11,721 captured (of which 4,436 wounded)8,290 POW dead after battle.
That was a swear word among others that I got from a 90 year old French Para I was chatting to a couple of weeks ago.
Never underestimate the French Soldier since WW2 he is a different person.

Merc Knows what I mean and you young ones Google it. Sorry to add a sad note but the French war dead hardly get a mention.

No but in my opinion it had to be done to stop the French Fleet falling into German hands. I know it is a running sore between our two nations but in 1940 we had our backs to the wall with no help except the Commonwealth.

No problem. I just hope Ziyaan does the right thing and makes restitution for the problem.(although I am not holding my breath about it)

I can confirm that there's still no contact...even after the paypal dispute. Giving him till Friday before I escalate it.

I have had issues buying from him in the past, but in fairness to him he did refund me after some discussion.

they still don't like the legion playing with them on excercise

but the French para's are not the soft shower people think they follow almost the same training as the legion except they get a longer time to do the assault courses and they don't get beaten

or buried in sand or half drowned or a few other things.
But yes Dien bien phu was a hard lesson to learn but the legion is defined by its defeats you never see footage of the wins and they are hardly reported even in France.
