Not sure if anyone can advise me on this. Fitted the chip to the original ECU from the car and did a track day in it back in March and the chip did as described, increase to vtec range and the speed limiter has been removed. The car seemed to be going great and seemed faster. We left the track that day feeling very pleased with the improvement.

However just had car on rolling road over the weekend and it is down by approx 15bhp. Reading before was 201-202ish and new reading is 185. Is there any reason for this? could it be completely unrelated or could it just be the power is delivered in a smoother way?

I hope i don't offend anyone by the post as that's not my intention. As i said we were more than happy with the performance of the car. We just want car to be running at its full potential.

Same rolling road?

That is only an 8% decline so it is broadly in the zone (if it is the same dyno). It could easily be environmental factors, difference in the tightness of the straps holding the car to the dyno or other factors that can increase wheel slip.

I have had differences just over 5% with the same setup on the same dyno 1 year apart so 8% is not that bad.

Don't worry kie, I don't think anyone will read that as a negative/provocative post :D

Yep aswell as atmospheric and dyno drift, things like how long since service, what fuel etc can also make a difference.

I doubt it's the chip, there's not been anyone else that has a bad dyno result on as before and after that I have seen?

Yes it is the same rolling road. I believe it would have been running Shell V-Power on both occasions. Can't comment on the service condition, quite possible it was serviced before first run and not before second.

I think we are planning on doing two consecutive runs and swapping the chips in between to see if there are other factors at play.

On a separate note my father in law has since bought a 5th Gen Uk track car. This is running 180 bhp which i believe is about standard. Is there a chip for this model?

Hi i would like my lude to benefit from one of these chips but am a little confuse.

My ecu atm is standard i believe, its a h22a8 ecu on a mk5 2.2 vti prelude. would i need anything else before i install your chip? Please let me know as my knowledge on these things is limited but love for my lude is unlimited!! :)
