Light-weight, racing style lug nuts at an affordable price, that’s what the Muteki Open Ended Lug Nuts are about from Wheel Mate Performance. The cold-forged steel of the Muteki Lug Nut permits it to be smaller, thinner, and lighter than normal steel nuts. Furthermore, the compact size of the Muteki Lug Nut allows it to be used in small diameter wheel holes. The open ended Muteki Lug Nut also allows for longer racing studs and full thread engagement. That, combined with the oversized 60 degree taper seat, ensures that the Muteki Lug Nut will keep your wheel secure. The unique shape of the spline drive will also signify that your wheels will not be removed by a thief passing by.

60 degrees taper seat
M12×1.25 or M12×1.50 thread pitch available
Cold forged 1008 steel
Finishes: Chrome, Black, Red, Purple and Blue
20 spline drive lug nuts set
Includes a 3/4″ & 13/16″ dual hex adapter

2.5 years ago I mildly refurbed these because I was fitting wheels with covered lug holes & they wouldn't be visible, so quality was more important than looks where lug nuts were concerned.

They were in good usable condition, the threads were fine, the chrome coating on the seats were fine but it was starting to come off on the heads. I scrubbed them with a wire brush (threads & outside surfaces), soaked them in fairy liquid, gave them a thorough clean with a strong natural pre wash cleaner then gave the heads a light sanding & (1 or 2) coats of silver Hammerite to seal them.

I've just removed them after 2.5 years & they're in usable condition but the heads look untidy. The original chrome is still on the seats & the threads are fine. In the pics the dark patches on the heads are mostly the original metal underneath the chrome & Hammerite, not rust. But there are bits of rust as well. The pics are large & close up & the rust looks worse than they are, I'm surprised looking at the pics.

Make up your own mind anyway.

I've given them a quick wire brush to remove the loose bits of paint.

The adapter works fine but has a small bit of rust inside from when I had some water getting into the boot through the rear light seals. Still works perfectly.

Brand new price is around £50. £13 delivered.

It's these ones...
