Hello,

Some of you may now I am swapping a K20a engine into my Type S, and so the original engine and box are up for sale.

The engine has done just under 65 thousand miles and I will be selling the following:

1. Engine
2. ATTS Gearbox.
3. ATTS cooling parts.
4. Engine loom.
5. All ancillaries, aircon, alternator, PS pump etc.
6. ECU.
7. Drive shafts.
8. Engine Mounts.
9. Induction kit, have aftermarket and original.

Probably some other stuff.

Basically it will be a complete drop in package.

The engine is planned to be taken out this weekend but as with all things we may encounter something unexpected and there could be a delay!

The engine does not use oil or water, the only thing I would advise doing with the engine out is adjusting the valves as its a little tappety. It would also make sense to install a new clutch and maybe even go as far as fitting a lightweight flywheel.

If anybody is interested please make a sensible offer & collection is preferred, if you can give me a hand to get it out then even better!! I am located in Exeter.

Would it be possible to make a 4th gen with atts or would the Ecu cut it as it wasn't getting the correct codes??

Codes? The ATTS and Engine ECU will be sold with the car, there could be a couple wiring differences between the engine loom and interior loom but I don't imagine it would be a huge amount of work. I also think you may have to mount the front ATTS wheel sensors if its not linked in with the ABS sensors. I'll be taking notes of what wiring went where so it that should save some time fitting everything back in.

The ATTS uses the VSS sensors and the active ABS unit also. Also the yaw sensor in the boot, steering wheel and the wheel position sensor.

There is alot to swap over and remember you need the front suspension as its different also.

Ah right, there is a lot of wiring involved!! It might be worth me buying a whole UK interior loom and swapping that over... It would be good to convert the clocks over to a UK cluster, so that might be an avenue worth investigating!

Would it not be easier to get a UKDM car and do the swap with that?

Not really, I've put a few quid into this car to get it where I like it, no point starting again and it would probably cost me more. Plus this car handles much better and has a 70kg weight saving over std.

Might be best to sell the parts seperately as spares for existing Type S owners rather than a whole drop in package.
