228bhp motor & LSD box will sell motor & box separetly

So, my car will be in bits soon and my motor will be up for sale;

Ideally, I’d like to sell it as a complete lump with gearbox clutch & flywheel.

It’s running 228bhp & 174lb/ft of torque. The mid-range torque is very strong, it pulls 150lb/ft from 3000rpm up which is pretty much peak torque at 6000rpm for a standard motor. Makes it a very good cruiser!

So the spec is as follows;

H22a7 complete head, fully rebuilt and skimmed@ PAW 25,000 miles ago

H22a5 bottom end, with pistons rings, big end bearings and oil pump all replaced with OEM parts at time of rebuild.

Inlet manifold, throttle body & injectors are all off an ATR too. It has a custom fuel line so the ATR fuel rail can be used in the prelude.

It’s also had the manual tensioner conversion done.

I’ve calculated the CR to be at 10.2:1 from the head being skimmed.

The gearbox is an M2B4, it’s been attached to the motor for about 12,000 miles and has no problems at all.

Clutch is an exeddy stage 1 which was fitted the same time as the box and had a fidanza lightweight flywheel which was also fitted the same time as the box.

Details of the engine rebuild, with dyno printout are here;

I’m looking for £1200 as a complete lump which would get you the following;

ATR TB, ATR IM, ATR injectors & fuel rail, custom fuel line, EGR delete, full engine, clutch, flywheel & M2B4 LSD gearbox. The exhaust manifold is not included and I'll be keeping the blue valve cover but it will have a valve cover fitted.

The 228bhp was with a mugen manifold, decat and a type s inlet with the resonator box still fitted. I can get hold of the files for the s300 chip if you want to run this setup & then don’t need to pay for dyno time or for an extra £400 I’ll throw in the p28 hondata s300 ECU which is already tuned for this setup.

I’m expecting to get the motor out of the car in the next couple of weeks, as soon as the insurance pay out comes through so I know the car value has been confirmed.

The man's wanted higher compression from day 2. He'll probably want a new base to start from scratch eventually ;-)

Not gone, just on hold. It was too much hassle trying to build a teg with no money or time to get it done while buying a house. :shock:

Need a working car to drive as I don't have another and to be honest the ATR was an easier option as I've got way too much going on. Rushing a build ends up in a bad build or something going wrong.

Nafe, that too ;)

So you will need a Mugen Mani and a p28 hondata s300 ECU (tuned) to get the 228bhp & 174lb/ft?

Sort of.

there are other manifolds that would perform as well as the mugen; fujitsobu or tri y's would be up to the job.

As for the ecu, you could get it tuned with chrome or Neptune but its down to the tuner then. Best bet would be using the PAW tuned ecu too as this saves you tuning time and the cost of getting the chip, plus it's tuned by the h22 specialist then ;)
