To see an improvement on a uk model would I have to port match the IM or would this help a little?

Not too sure mate but id imagine if you scribed a 1mm round line on the outside of the opening of your manifold and filed it at a 45 deg (or less) angle with a needle file this would match you up to the 62mm.
Also the intake manifold opening may prob be of a larger diameter anyway to prevent air intake obstruction from the throttle body exit
I will go measure the Type S intake opening there and see for pig irons sake !

It all depends on what other mods you have done to your car. I do belive it compliments upgraded camshafts as helping breathing.
Just this alone AFAIK gives you a bit more crispeness to your throttle.
Im sure theres a few experts would know for sure.
