i thought the whole point of using a H23 was for the bottom casing as stronger than a H22a :?:

best would be a H23a bottom with a H22a7 top :?: :?:

Pretty standard stuff then. I'll get my H22 fitted first, then start building something a bit special.

So what is the undisputed best combination then? (As a project engine starting point).

Would it simply be the H22A7 Bottom End (Higher Compression), and any H22 head (as I understand they are all fundamentally the same)?

Best combo is a h22 with a stroker kit to 2.6 litres and 300whp. From the like of Brian crower.

The combination H23 bottom end and H22A7 head has already been made. In the Honda tech link it is said that in 2000 and 2001 this combination was made.
In 1998 and 1999 it was a H22A head. P13.

H22 heads are not all the same. P13 heads standard heads. The ATR has got a PDE head.

With a 2.6 liter engine you won't drive it on the streets, I guess.
