I believe this is the ATR
@106pete brought to my attention. The guy calls it a forged engine, but it's not been sleeved at all. It's running Mahle Gold series

What a shame to do all that work (and having only just put the exhaust on it apparently?) and then just go and break it...
Sounds a bit pointless?

Maybe he was tired of everyone telling him he should have sleeved his block

Yeah this is what he told me about the engine
Hi Pete.
The block is as follows:
H22a JDM 2000 model prelude type s
new h22a type s crank shaft
new h22a7 type r oil pump
new type r water pump
mahle gold series pistons with uprated wrist pings
hot tank cleaning of all parts
re boring of the cylinder sleeves
power hone of the bores
deck block surface
micro polish of the crank
full balance of rotating assembly( each piston to rod to each crank journal)
oem honda main bearings
oem honda rod bearings
oem honda thrust washers
full racing seal kit with comitec mls head gasket
H beam steel con rods
ARP2000 head studs
ARP drag series con rod bolts
oem main bolts
modified crank brace
The head
full ported and polished head
bronze intake and exhaust valve guides
racing valve stem seals
full race steel valves (brian crower head package)
brain crower titanium retainers
skunk 2 pro series cam gears
brian crower duel valve springs rated at 10000 rpm with low seating pressure(crower)
Custom brain crower stage 3 turbo cams
chambers polished
all chambers balanced
multi angle vale seat job
I don't know why he thinks it's a type s engine as he seems to use a atr gearbox that wouldn't fit that block?

Nothing wrong with mahles instead of sleeving.

Didn't say there was, but when you're claiming "H22A Forged Engine" you expect sleeves and not Mahle Gold series

That's Jay's ATR, I sat in there when it was around 400bhp.

Well technically sleeving isn't a forged process
