As you know I got my eyes open for a lude but I can not buy untill I have shot of my frontera coz Im skint, anywat browsing ebay and found this Type R prelude

I mailed him and told him, you can see my message in questions and answers but they are not having it. Just thought I would post up here for a laf

Q: hi, just got a couple of questions. on the insurance it comes up as 2005 predlude. and you say its rare badged as type s when from the photos you can see the type r badge so which is it?
A: Ive updated the ad to type R It will show as a 2005 as thats when it came to the UK

To be fair to the guy, he is probably just a car sales chap and took this in px or something. How is he to know if they made a type R or not, he's only going by the tat badges that are on it.
I've people that own cars and don't even know what model or engine size it is, so you can't expect everyone to be an expert on Preludes.

Yeah but there is also using your noggin a bit Shiny. You should know what you're selling really... asked him if there was anything in the logbook to say it IS a TypeR, considering he thinks that because it doesn't say it isn't a TypeR, that means it is...
As if a logbook would say 'Honda Prelude 2.2 not a TypeR'
I've lost count of the amount of generic eBay '16v' badges I've seen on cars that were never even available as 16v.
Stupidity is acceptable, ignorance isn't.

But then it's his responsibility to know what he's selling.

Q: Please note, there is no such thing as a type R prelude and the TypeS is the 5th gen only, this is a 4th gen 92-96
A: I can only say its badged as a Type R nothing on log book to say its not
And nothing on the log book to say it is as well

ahhhh I missed that one Ammo, Shiney I hear ya, I think he should listen or research though, especially when selling on fleebay. Item not as discribed an all that. Traders should know better
