5th Gen 4ws issue

Post by C12HLL » Sun Mar 10, 2013 10:27 am

Right here goes,

I tried the service connector reset procedure for the 4ws light after noting a code 25. The light will not reset after numerous attempts at trying the procedure.

So first things first, any ideas on the best way to proceed with sorting a code 25 and also would that be why the 4ws light is flashing the DTC when i'm following the reset procedure?

Any help appreciated before i pester my Honda mechanic friend to borrow HDS for an afternoon.

I had a code 25 but the reset procedure worked first time for me and several hundred miles later it hasn't come back on.

You should be able to reset it :? might sound patronising but are you sure you're doing it right? When it says turn the wheel 45-60 degrees, that's the steering wheel not the actual wheels. I know people have made this mistake before

I believe timing is critical - helps if you are a drummer or something.

I found that the 45-60 degrees clockwise movement of the steering wheel was more critical than I'd at first thought. It took me three goes to get it right.

Problem Solved..

Done the reset procedure again and it worked. After a drive the light is off.
