Front Discs Recommendations?

Post by Mudgey » Sat Apr 20, 2013 6:50 pm

Hello, I am in need of new front discs as mine are currently warped and I can feel brake judder from the pedal under hard braking. I am running standard size discs & calipers with yellow stuff pads. What do you guys suggest?

I've heard good things about Black Diamond.
I haven't investigated this yet, but it's on my list. ;)

Blue print are as good as any, just give everything A good cleaning, copper greasing and a bleed. What size are your discs?

standards are 282mm. IMO, you'd be as well to upgrade the brakes seeing as you'll be pulling an extra 100bhp. ATR brakes are a good move, straight swap on the calipers & carries then you have twin pot callipers and 300mm discs.

Ferodo DS2500 pads are fantastic, I think I've got bremtec grooved discs on mine & it stops well :)

I am liking the idea of upgrading to larger calipers & discs, however I am getting close to my budget allowance! What sort of costs are we looking at for the calipers?

Will the ATR brakes fit under 16" alloys?

Yes, just about. I had them under 2 different sets without problems;
