Are 4g & 5g springs and shocks interchangeable?

i have a 5g 2.2 siR and im looking 4 lowering springs and notice alot of 4g springs for sale and no 5g springs ,

so wondering are 4g and 5g suspension the same???

Yep, they are interchangeable (nice one Honda). I went the 'other way' and installed 5th gen shocks and springs into my 4th Gen - the only difference was that the 4th gen had a small mounting bracket for the brake pipe which was absent on the 5th gen, but this was quickly solved with a large tie-wrap :D

... and my experience is identical to Dobbs's above. Just did it last weekend. :)

I think the shocks and springs actually have different part numbers from Honda - maybe different spring rates or something, but they appear to work OK.

(I have a set of Tokico shocks lying in the garage, and I notice that the guy I get them from must've cut off the ring that supports the brake-hose brackets from his original 4g shocks and stuck them on. Similar thing would work with a set of 5g shockers.)
