i do mine at 32 psi on the left and 14 psi on the right to compensate for my bad tracking.

30 psi will not bust engine mounts, nor is it unsafe. I've been at cars long enough to know this. We are talking 2 psi here.

I still have the little door sticker that says 32 all round (on oem wheels), but for a long time I have run 34F 32R (on my 17" wheels), as I like the very slight 'feel' difference.
And yes, all tyre pressures are WHEN COLD :)

Edit to say: Toadster, everything else being equal, wear on the edges is the textbook sign of underinflation BTW.
