Hello,
I have the ABS light illuminated at all times on my dash, I imagine it has something to do with my K20 mod! I have heard the Type S has active ABS, how is this different from normal ABS and is it wired in with the ATTS ? Does removing the standard Type S ECU deem the ABS inoperable ? I havent tested to see if it works yet but would like to get it working!
Any and all info is greatly appreciated!!
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Active ABS works along side and with the ATTS ECU which in itself uses the Type S ECU so you wont get it working. The active ABS taps into the ATTS sensors so to speak and works with it.
Its good but iv only ever noticed it once and that was after a bitch lady pulled out infront of me on a roundabout and i hard brakes and turns into the roundabout avoiding her. No lock up and the car braked and turned effortlessly where usually the car would want to brake in a straight line.

you will seriously regret touching the active abs, i was talking to lll this weekend about a freaking insane drive i had against an Audi a3 broken suspension look euro wagon. i was behind him at a set of lights when as they went green he thought he would give it beans, lol.
the road is a single carriageway that bares left up a progressive hill then turns to 2 lanes then a roundabout. well, i was going a bit to quick, under took him and hit the anchors.... no lock ups no judder just fantastic positioning onto the crest of the hill onto the roundabout, hit the roundabouts camber and wow. all i can say is if i were in any other car i think the car would have under steered then fishtailed and that would have been the end of that. traffic light gp ftw
