it does scream crap fluid, what pads were/are you using? i assume you habe never serviced your calipers either then?

its not the length of the track a shorter track means your on the brakes more as it will have near as dammit the same number of corners and they will be closer together so no chance to cool down on the straights.

Put new discs and pads on - pagid cheap and cheerful before the day calipers seemed fine going for some mogul fluid next I think
