you would still need, engine mounts, custom driveshafts, and im sure the legend is much longer wheel base so a different prop shaft and a ton of fab work.Pre_luda_Chris wrote:In theory though I can just take apart that honda legend when I would want to do the conversion - > full swap

jobby. I have both a boosted 5th gen and 2001CR-V. And now, also an ideathusee wrote:can be done with a h22 by using a h2b adapter and mounting a 1st gen crv 97/01 transmission to it.
or as mentioned above a full k24 swap out of a 2nd gen crv 02/06
depending on the length of the driveshafts which i'm not too familiar with, you may need to get custom length ones made.
IT IS POSSIBLEwith time and money

You might want to consider boosting it, seeing as the prelude is already a fat pig and adding all that extra weight will make it harder to move haha.

Re: 4WD / AWD conversions?
I believe it can be done using a cr-v gearbox, I'm sure I remember reading this sometime ago. That or stick another h22 in the back, also seen this done aswell. Wouldn't be cheap and hassle free though that's for sure.

it has been done with the 4wd H2B gearbox setup it has also been done with the second engine in the back the problem you face with the H22 and a normal rear drive set up is the backwards running of the engine.
I even looked into dropping the body onto the chassis of a rwd/awd car there are a lot of cars very close to the ludes wheelbase.
You would however get a compromise the handling would be ruined and you would then have to upgrade the engine of another car yes it may be fast in a straight line but you would lose the character and great handling chassis of the lude.
Time and money would be better spent building a strong powerful engine and tweaking the chassis and brakes
