Also your speedo is probably lying to you a bit anyway... I find my speedo agrees almost exactly with my GPS with 17" rims and 215/45 tyres, which means it'll be reading faster than it would have done stock.

A lower profile tyre will increase response but will loose grip and stability in the corner.

205/40 or 205/45 is just plane skinny.
When i got my Lude it had 185/70/r14's on it so thats a 129.5 mm sidewall :oops:

I think they're 7" but could be 6 1/2"

Type S wheels are 6.5".
Toad. Yours is a 2.0i but it will be be based on a 4" side wall.
