What offset are the ep3 alloys? I also have 215/45/17 (ET-45) and don't usually rub. Where on the tyre is the contact marks?

I think it's 45 offset on the EP3 wheels.

Don't understand why he's getting rubbage then as 45 to 50 is recomended offset for 17x7 alloys :?

Very odd.

I must check the offset on my alloys at some point

Cheers ;)

Im actually thinking its the front mudflaps that have been catching the ground.
They were rubbing over speedbumps but i knew they would
With the car just sitting ,the mudflaps were only around two inches off the ground, so with passengers and body roll when turning full lock im thinking the mudflaps were digging into the ground giving me that god awful scraping noise.
Iv checked the tyres and there doesnt seem to be any marks where you would say yes theyv been rubbing.
Hopefully that has been the cause all along

 Didn't think about that. I would wager the socks I'm wearing now that it is. The mudflaps wear away eventually ;)
