You are just replacing the outer boot? It is a pain in the arse. I think the way you have to do it is by removing the drive shaft.

If you unclip the inner boot from the cup that holds the bearings you can easily remove the drive shaft. Once you pull the drive shaft away the roller bearings will fall off the spider. Remove the inner boot and slide the outer boot down the drive shaft and all the way off over the inner spider. I don't think you are going to get the boot over the outer CV joint without damaging the boot.

I think that way is a lot easier than trying to separate the outer CV.

Yeah I heard you can stretch the cheaper ones. If it is a quality part it probably wont want to go over. Honda ones deffo don't want to stretch over.

They're specific boots for stretching @Merlin, with some of them you heat them in boiling water and they become really pliable for fitting. Others just fit like these ones:

It's the outer boot I need to do so I will have to remove drive shaft and take cv joint off or can I strech it over cv joint and if I get universal one I wouldn't have to remove cv joint all will be just glue on but r they ok for few years

Stretch boot = remove wheel and hub and then stretch over.

Spilt/glue boot = remove wheel and go for it.

Sorted so the Strech one will be easy to, but with glue it be easier I just new it for a year till next October, so do I ask for universal strech boot

Or universal glue boot but with glue I wouldn't need to remove nothing jut glue it n fill with grease, with stretch I will have to remove hub, damper fork and upper arm, lol I think glue will so aslong as I get a year on it il be fine
