ABS / ALB Speed Sensor testing

I have a box of ALB (ABS) speed sensors taken from a couple of Accord Aerodecks that I've broken for parts. I'm guessing they are similar if not the same as those on Preludes of the same era.

I need to check which sensors are good and which, if any, are knackered.

Can anyone tell me how I go about testing them when they're off the car? I imagine a multimeter will be needed but I have no idea how to go about it and what readings to look for.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Yep, basic check is just continuity - if they have it, they will be ok.
If you want to check for sure, you need to check the resistance. I would guess they should be somewhere in the 200-400 Ohm region?
If you have a look in the 3g service manual, it will tell you.

Thanks for that Iain, that would be very much appreciated.

Hi Iain (@wurlycorner),

I don't suppose you found out what the resistance figure is did you?

Cheers,

Glenn :)
