ATR front Pad Fitting Kit FOUND. WHO ELSE WANTS ONE?... Pg 3

Post by NafemanNathan » Mon Apr 04, 2016 12:22 am

This thread was titled ATR Pads and Pad Fitting Kit originally.

I started a thread a while back about struggling to find a pad fitting kit for ATR front calipers, since then I have bought two. The first was a Blue Print one, listed on their own website for an ATR. That arrived... Too small, not a hope in hell of fitting and also didn't include the top spring plate, it was just the four carrier ones. Fortunately I managed to get a full refund without even needing to return it.

Next up I tried another brand and seller. This time before ordering I got them to double check it would fit and included the top plate as well. I'd given them the details of @Shiny's ATR that he kindly gave me. That arrived, turned out to be an Apec kit, included the top plate, but again far too small and the top plate was a different style so wouldn't have fit anyway.

Now having finished refurbishing my brakes this evening I've had a look at the Black Diamond Predator pads I'd ordered for them as well. Unfortunately I ordered these months and months ago, but you guessed it... Too drokking small! :x

What the drokk is it?! It's a UK drokking car! So why am I having such difficulty?! :suicide:

Ds2500 pads :)

If you need any brake other bits, get them from Andy at Vtec Direct, he will make sure you get the right parts.

Cheers Lloyd.

I didn't want to have to spend that kind of money really. Of course I'm not going to buy any old jobby either. How many miles are you getting out of yours as a daily driver?

I tried to get a fitting kit when I first got my ATR calipers, likewise the kit I got was too small. I ended up fitting the kit without the top spring plate.

Pads should be easy as it's prelude pads that fit.

Is it? I saw a set of Stop Tech pads listed for both cars, but I'm not trusting any cross referencing for these brakes at the moment.

I've been trying to track down a pad fitting kit, too. I bordered one from eBay a while ago, but haven't had a chance to try it yet (low down the priorities).

:? I assume Honda is either a no go or massively expensive, then?
