4th Gen - 4WS Reset Procedure, doesn't work?

Post by arif_manji » Sat Apr 15, 2017 5:01 pm

Hi guys,

I am trying to do a 4WS reset procedure on my UK 4th Gen following Nitin's guide below:

http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... -t102.html

Once a short the service connector and you switch on the ignition, the 4WS light comes on and then disappears. It doesn't appear at all after to allow me to do the reset procedure. Anyone know why? It is an auto and its Park (P) for the procedure. Is this correct or does this need to be in Neutral instead?

Any help will be appreciate - thanks!

Yeah, handbrake is up too. If you put it in Neutral, the 4WS just blinks continuously (very fast).

Really? How can it get burnt? The 4WS works on mine but after 100-150 miles the light pops on with code 2 or 20. 2 long flashes and then loads of fast flashes.

I was told the fast flashes are not important? It's the long flashes that is actually the code?

Code 20 is a misaligned main angle steering sensor. Park the car with the wheels straight, take the steering wheel off and align the sensor, from memory the yellow sticker points down. The instructions are in the manual anyway.

long flash count 10, fast 1 so if you have 2 long and 5 fast code is 25, i had code 20 for burned sensor on steering rack, code 20 can be for main or sub front sensor
