rear bottom balljoint problems

Post by Danzley0 » Mon Jul 10, 2017 6:34 pm

i am looking for a rear bottom balljoint for my BB6 the ones i ordered are for the wrong car and now im stuck
had to custom fit a washer to make it moveable temporarily but obviously this isnt a permanant fix
measurements are as follows
88mm length
43mm diameter
22mm thread depth
20mm cone at the widest part
do the front ones match?
does the dc5 front balljoint work?
research isnt getting me far with this

this is also posted on the facebook page

Info on ball joints is in the wiki

courtesy of rich at paw
Not much time so just a quick post

4th and 5th gen front and rear lower ball joints are the same 110% ;)
4th gen front and rear uppers are 33mm ball joints (OEM)
5th gen front uppers are 35mm and rears are 33mm (OEM)

Note - Some aftermarket replacement upper arms use their own size ball joint so this is where you can sometimes fall down
1996-2000 1993 EG9 Blue Civic 1.6 Vti - Traded in against the BB4
2000-2019 1994 2WS BB4 Milano Red JDM Prelude Si VTEC LSD

2015 on > 1991 4WS BB1 Phantom Pearl Grey JDM Prelude Si VTEC LSD
2021 ON > 1998 2WS BB6 White Pearl JDM Prelude Si VTEC
