Lower ball joint

Hi peaple i am in need of a lower ball joint on the off side. I have taken my car in to a garage today an they have told me they carnt get hold of one even of honda. An tell me i need a hole knuckle is this right or dose any know where i can get hold of just the ball joint thanks

Ive got a few for 4g kicking about here -they are aftermarket and ive not had a chance to check them out but id be willing to send them down to you and you can see if they are of any use.
there are also some replacement ball joints on ebay - i think they may be ones for the honda legend which are the same as 4g
ive replaced the ball joint on the front offside knuckle a few times with varying results
honda will only sell you the complete knuckle so thats what your garage has probably been told
all the above info is based on the 4g not sure if 5g is exactly the same

apparently they are.info was from a post by Rich at Performance Autoworks:

Not much time so just a quick post

4th and 5th gen front and rear lower ball joints are the same 110%

4th gen front and rear uppers are 33mm ball joints (OEM)
5th gen front uppers are 35mm and rears are 33mm (OEM)

Note - Some aftermarket replacement upper arms use their own size ball joint so this is where you can sometimes fall down
