Hub Help needed

Post by sol-lude » Wed May 30, 2018 10:09 am

Morning all,

Well following the purchase of the BB4 the ATR is now off the road and being stripped down my plan was to use these hubs instead of 5th gen hubs. I'm going on the assumption that the fronts should be a case of new bearing and hub should fit as the shafts are only a couple mm difference and I'll be using lude shafts anyway also the splines are the same.
Now had a play and the rear BB1 hubs it the ATR no problem however the ATR rears are a few mm bigger. Now my question is are the 5th gen rear hubs the same depth at the 4th gens? ImageImage

im going to have a look this afternoon at a 5th gen that being broken for parts so might get a chance to have a look at the rear hubs - ive got some 4th gen hubs here so should be able to do a fairly accurate comparison ;)

No pressure  Just looked on my thread, but unfortunately it's one of those rare time where I didn't do a write up. It was nearly 5 years ago now, so I can't remember exactly, but I think I fitted the whole hub assembly, spindle and all from a 5th gen. As in undo the 4 nuts, and swap the whole thing.

I fitted 5th gen bearings straight on to my 4th gen hub. Pretty sure offset was the same.

Undo the 4 obvious nuts to remove the spindle...
