Main concern with rusty suspension is getting them damn thing apart come problem time. The structural members wont fall apart due to rust, but the same can't be said of the body and suspension mounting points! Thats where you need to focus your checks.

crxdriver yours is very clean for a UK car
EDIT: I see yours is a JDM car??? Still clean but if it were UK

The one in the photos above is pretty average from what I’ve seen, just a touchy inspector I suspect... I’d just remove the suspension clean it all up and paint it 8-) as cheap as a tin of hamerite..... that is until bolts start breaking and bushes start to tear..... maybe just wire brush it and under seal it

This seems to be a regular thing with MOT'rs just now from what I have seen (friends and family)

They all seem to have rusty / corroded suspension components. I have a feeling this is due to the changes in the rules recently and the MOT'rs are using it to try and get more work for the garages. Which can happen.

JEBB4 It was imported in 2002 by car sales place and was bought by my dad in 2002. So spent most of its time in the UK but its just been looked after. Air con has never been re-gassed and works like a charm. That's my biggest WTF with this car as my dad never used it because he was about economy. Its been taken apart and wax-oiled/rustproofed. There's a few more MOT passes in it yet that's for sure.

CRX driver, that does indeed look exceptionally clean.
vjvj £2.5k is a lot for a 5g with no MOT and faulty 4ws.
Even with low mileage, seller needs to take at lest £1k off that price, IMO!
