Recommend me some budget tyres

Post by Max » Fri Aug 17, 2018 12:42 pm

I need some new tyres for the Type S, the Goodyear Eagle F1's that are on there are old and starting to crack and now one of them has a slow puncture.

Cant really spend much money at the moment so the budget needs to be around £250-300 and I know there's not a lot around for that, but don't want to end up with some ditch finders, was thinking maybe Kumho Ectsa HS51 as for the price they seem rated quite highly.

Also aware some cars don't suit certain tyres so recommendations based personal experiences would be good :)

Rainsports are excellent

Either of those would do pretty well.
Cheaper still are Falken ZIEX 310s, which I've run in the past with no concerns.

But a type S without decent tires is like a whore without perfume..... beg, borrow, save or steal.... Don't send Roxanne out without her red light stank.

Pilot Sport 4. Very good. As good as the ad08r in the dry....nearly but in the colder months they don'tshit themselves. Not cheap though.

Thanks guys, probably gonna go with the rainsport even though the kumho are dirt cheap there's just too many bad reviews on their balance.
