ARB/wishbone bushes, 4g and 5g

Gents/Gentesses

I know the 4g and 5g suspension is interchangeable, indeed I've just done it, but are the wishbone bushes/ARB bushes common between the two versions too? I have to find some rear upper ARB bushes, and upper front wishbone bushes too, but almost everything listed is for the 5g and not my lowly 4g. Any help/suggestions?

Both parts you are looking for are different between 4g & 5g

i bought hardrace rear drop links for my 4g on ebay and there are plenty of 4g front upper wishbones on ebay also

I asked because although you select the correct item for a 4g, the adverts for the 5g show bearings with the same dimensions as the 4g.

I don't want to order the wrong item, only to discover it's wrong when I'm about to fit it...

I think the upper wishbone bushes on the rear are the same 4g/5g, but the front ones are different.

I have a set of strongflex yellow rear top wishbone going spare - as they do not fit the front of my 5g... I can't remember the reason why the front were different, they seemed to be smaller/integral to the arm itself, whereas the rears just pressed in.

I came across them this morning, it's quite useful to have a company that does the entire set; I'm going to order what I need from them, I'm hoping it's UK stock and despatchable immediately as I want to get the work done early next week.

Which model of those Strongflex bushes do you have spare?

I got the yellow ones, they are rock hard , hardly compliant at all.

Unless you are track daying - i suspect the red is the better choice (for longevity/comfort/price).

The 5g set doesn't include the front wishbone uppers, i think i bought the 4g set and then found out the hard way to slight difference.

I think they came from poland - they arrived pretty quickly. If you order direct from the site and pay with paypal there is a good chance you will have it next week.

If you're going the polybush rather than OEM-spec rubber bush route, then Energy Suspension also do sets of bushes.
