Teins get softer after a long journey?

So I had to drop off a PC for a family member, which warranted a good 3+ hours in the car.
On the way there, I was realising that the car rides like garbage. I suspect this is due to:
Yellow strong flex bushes (practically solid, unlike the red ones)
Teins flex Z coilovers.
went for 40 profile tyres on the motegi 17s instead of 45.
However, on the journey back, i noticed the ride had become more compliant (it was about 10pm at this point so cooler outside).
Its not something I've noticed before. perhaps I just need to do more experimentation with the damping setting and tyre pressures? Perhaps the root cause of the trouble is the springs are too stiff? I only wanted a little bit stiffer than standard, but i think perhaps the spring rates are too high/stiff, for a slammed looked.
I realise its all very subjective - perhaps we all need a meet when the social distancing is over, compare and contrast session...
